I keep seeing that on websites and forums. What is that, what does that mean? And why is it so common and funny?

I dunno but I think "Somebody set up us the bomb".

Watch that, it's an old, poorly translated game that has turned into gaming lore and legend. (either close it after the game stuff finishers or it's NSFW "not safe for work"--just saw a middle finger and a nudist, but it's a funny video nonetheless.)

For the text and a brief 16 step history of it.

I dunno where to locate the video for this but their is an anime cartoon clip with really really bad translation to english which is being quoted "All your base are belong to us". This is pretty old now atleast 4 years.

I've never heard of this.

It's an old video game that was just horribly horribly translated and it has just become classic over the years.

I picked it for my signature because I always think of that when I win a GvG battle.

The "For Great Justice" shout in GW is a nod to that joke, as far as I can tell.

Just for the record, it was the Tribes community that popularized the statement.

The Tribes community? Okay, Bad_CRC from the Tribal War forum, sure, but mostly it was the Something Awful regulars, including JRR, who created the song "Invasion of the Gabber Robots" that was used, along with a bunch of SA images, by Bad_CRC in creating the infamous Flash animation that actually popularized AYB.

If you want to credit a thing, it was the Flash animation. If you want to credit a person, it was Bad_CRC. If you want to credit a community, it was Something Awful.

Actually shazbot is from Mork and Mindy, which predates most modern video games almost entirely.
